This update on Aaron Rodgers clarifies a lot about his 2025 intentions — and it certainly shuts the door on a New Orleans move. His blunt response about the Saints, especially the comment “I’m too old, I don’t want to live in Louisiana,” will probably sting for Saints fans hoping he’d fill the void left by Derek Carr’s retirement.
With the Vikings and Giants already out of the mix and Rodgers hinting at a matchup with the Bears — which lines up with the Steelers’ 2025 schedule — it’s pretty clear Pittsburgh is the frontrunner if he plays at all. Otherwise, retirement is looming.
Rodgers has always been direct, and this is another example of that. Saints fans will now have to look elsewhere — possibly toward the draft or a younger veteran — for their next QB.
