Julian Sayin, who previously played quarterback at Alabama, has been named the starting quarterback for the No. 3-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes this season, head coach Ryan Day announced on Monday.
Day told NBC4 that Sayin demonstrated significant development during the offseason. “You could see a lot of growth,” he said. “Overall, Julian proved to be more consistent.”
The decision came after a competition with redshirt sophomore Lincoln Kienholz. Day informed both players of the choice on Monday and noted that Kienholz accepted the news gracefully.
