Shocking News: Pittsburgh Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin Just Confirmed the Younger, Top-Experienced Superstar Just Officially Announced His Retirement at the Age of 22 for a Shocking New Career…

Former Steelers WR Hakeem Butler Dominates in UFL Return Against Michigan Panthers

Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hakeem Butler made a major statement in his UFL season debut, torching the Michigan Panthers with a sensational performance.

Butler made the most of his limited opportunities, hauling in two catches for 124 yards and two touchdowns, demonstrating his trademark big-play ability that has made him one of the UFL’s most dangerous offensive threats. Over the past three seasons with the St. Louis Battlehawks, Butler has consistently ranked among the league’s elite wideouts, known for turning any play into a potential highlight.

Despite battling injuries throughout the preseason, Butler returned to action Saturday and immediately boosted his team’s offense. His ability to create explosive plays after missing time showed he remains one of the most impactful players in the league.

A former fourth-round pick by the Arizona Cardinals out of Iowa State, Butler stands an imposing 6-foot-6 and is best known for his contested catch prowess. Throughout his professional career, however, injuries at key moments and occasional inconsistency with route running and dropped passes have hampered his ability to stick in the NFL.

Butler’s stint with the Steelers in 2023 ended when he suffered a hand injury. After missing Pittsburgh’s second preseason matchup against the Buffalo Bills as an unexpected inactive, the Steelers opted to release him. Despite speculation he might return, the team chose not to bring Butler back.

Determined to revive his football career, Butler turned to the UFL, where he has thrived. His efforts were rewarded last season when he was named the UFL Offensive Player of the Year, cementing his place as one of the league’s brightest stars.
