The Atlanta Braves have made significant roster changes following a devastating bullpen collapse in their recent game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. In the ninth inning, the Braves squandered a 10-4 lead, ultimately losing 11-10 after allowing seven runs. This meltdown prompted the team to call up veteran right-hander Craig Kimbrel from Triple-A Gwinnett, according to reports.

To accommodate Kimbrel’s promotion, the Braves placed right-hander Daysbel Hernández on the injured list. Additionally, Atlanta designated right-hander Scott Blewett for assignment and recalled left-handed pitcher Dylan Dodd from Gwinnett.
Craig Kimbrel’s Return
Kimbrel, 37, rejoined the Braves after signing a minor league contract on March 19, 2025. He reported to Triple-A Gwinnett, where he posted a 2.00 ERA with 23 strikeouts over 18 innings. Prior to his time with the Braves, Kimbrel had a storied career, including a 5.33 ERA with the Baltimore Orioles in 2024, leading to his release in September of that year.
